Case Study: Strategic National Stockpile

On July 2nd, 2020, Hilo learned it won a competitive bid to supply 45 million Level II surgical masks with an active FDA 510k to the Strategic National Stockpile. Hilo was the lowest bidder and the procurement was divided amongst three vendors.

Hilo delivered 12 million masks on or before July 30th and 33 million masks on or before August 28th. All of these masks were made-to-order in Asia, shipped by ocean freight and delivered to the client warehouse in Texas. There were no delivery exceptions, no damage to product and no reported defects. Hilo's work was flawless, and we were told that we outperformed expectations and were the highest performing vendor to supply into the National Stockpile Texas site during the pandemic.

Case Study: Fortune 500 Company

Hilo won a competitive contract with a Fortune 500 company in April 2020. The client needed 2 million facemasks delivered by air. The client ordered a 3rd million with a specific date out 3.5 weeks at the same price. Hilo was able to meet the clients requirement by shipping 2 million masks by air and a million masks by sea freight at a significant cost savings. Hilo then refunded more than $125,000 to the customer because Hilo passes along savings to its customers. Hilo has now delivered more than 10 million masks to this customer continuously bringing the customer along the cost-curve as we consolidate buying power.

That's How Hilo Build's Trust
